Route: Tundra — Whale Skeleton — Giant Swings — Sandy Beach — Ship Graveyard — Arctic Ocean

07:15 – 07:45 — Departure from Murmansk.

You will head to the village of Teriberka, located on the coast of the Arctic Ocean. Here, you can breathe in the sea air, admire the tundra’s colors, visit popular spots, and soak in the unique atmosphere of Teriberka.

09:15 – 09:45 — Stop in the tundra.

11:35 – 11:45 — Sandy beach in old Teriberka.

12:00 – 15:00 — Sea trip by boat.

You will sail out into the Barents Sea, which never freezes, even in winter. At least two whale families remain in the bay year-round, and you may have a chance to watch them. Humpback whales impress with their size and skills. Encountering them in the wild is a performance you'll remember for a lifetime.

During the tour, you will also visit the Ship Graveyard and the sandy beach with giant swings. From the boat, you can see the Battery Waterfall and “Dragon Eggs” beach.

15:15 – 16:15 — Lunch (at a local café in Teriberka).

15:20 – 15:40 — Visit the Whale Skeleton.

15:40 – 16:40 — Free time.

You will be able to enjoy solitude with nature, take beautiful photos, and get inspired by the vast tundra scenery.

18:30 – 19:30 — Arrival back in Murmansk.

Notes:

  • The tour does not run from 22.12.2024! The program resumes on 11.01.2025 and will take place every Saturday until 29.03.2025 (inclusive).
  • Group up to 16 people, up to 10 people per boat. If the group is larger than 10, it will be divided between two boats;
  • The route requires minimal physical preparation;
  • Children aged six and up can participate in the group tour;
  • In winter, the road to Teriberka may be closed. If closed, the tour is replaced with an “Excursion to Kirovsk” for the winter period;
  • A trip to Teriberka is possible only on days when the tourist is completely free and present in the city from 6 am to 10 pm. If your flight from Murmansk is at 21:00, you can only take an individual tour to Teriberka or join if weather permits;
  • If going to sea is not possible due to weather, the cruise will be replaced with a walking route (in winter, by sleigh behind a snowmobile) to the waterfall and Dragon Stone beach;
  • Departure times and location visits may change due to weather and technical conditions. The exact departure time will be sent the day before the tour.
  • We cannot guarantee whale sightings, as this is a natural phenomenon. Whale behavior in the Barents Sea is not fully studied and cannot be predicted.
