MoroccoTiut and Taroudant
Tiut is a small village in the Sus River valley, which you will reach on donkeys. Once you change your mode of transport, the journey through the largest palm oasis in southern Morocco begins. After the walk, you will receive a warm welcome and a hearty lunch at the home of the village chief. Then the journey continues to Taroudant, an ancient city with a thousand-year history, completely surrounded by medieval walls. Beyond them lies a grove of palm, orange, and olive trees. From the eastern side, the Atlas Mountains approach the city, whose peaks are especially beautiful at sunset, framed by medieval walls shimmering in shades of gold, pink, and orange. Taroudant is famous not only for its ancient atmosphere but also for the exceptional quality of its traditional crafts. On Thursdays and Saturdays, many traders from nearby settlements gather here.
