Unfortunately, there may be situations where the tour operator is forced to replace the originally booked hotel. Such a replacement is made only under the following conditions:

	The hotel must be of the same or higher category than the originally booked one;
	</li>
	<li data-end="371" data-start="289">
	The distance from the sea must not exceed that of the originally booked hotel;
	</li>
	<li data-end="411" data-start="372">
	The meal plan must remain the same;
	</li>
	<li data-end="481" data-start="412">
	The room category must be the same or higher than the original one.
	</li>

Is it possible for the tour operator to change the hotel that was initially booked?

If the tour package includes flights to the destination with two or more legs (connecting flights), the receiving party provides meeting and transfer services only at the final arrival point.

If I have connecting flights, will company representatives meet me during the layover?

Yes. All ERV medical insurance programs cover COVID-19 (including tests and analyses prescribed by a doctor, outpatient and inpatient treatment, hospitalization) if the traveler contracts the coronavirus while on vacation in the destination country.

In case of hospitalization and/or mandatory quarantine after illness, the policy also covers hotel accommodation expenses (up to a limit of 300 USD) and return airfare (after hospitalization or outpatient treatment for COVID-19 if the return flight was missed).

If the insured person dies during the trip due to a sudden illness, including COVID-19, the policy also covers repatriation expenses.

Is COVID-19 considered an insured event?

When the insured person is in quarantine (without a diagnosed illness), expenses related to quarantine measures are not covered by the ERV insurance policy.

If medical assistance is needed during quarantine (e.g., toothache, fracture, dislocation, poisoning, etc.), the insurance policy will cover the necessary treatment costs within the insured amount or established limits.

What if I am placed under quarantine upon arrival in another country?



If a COVID-19 case is detected on board or at the hotel, tourists who were seated nearby or had contact with the infected person will be isolated:

	If the contact person tests positive for coronavirus, the insurance policy will be valid. ERV insurance will cover treatment costs, accommodation expenses up to 300 USD, and a return ticket (if the tourist misses their flight).

	If the test is negative, the insurance does not cover the tourist’s stay in isolation or the cost of a new return ticket.
	</li>
</ul>

What if I had contact with a COVID-positive tourist (on the plane or at the hotel) and am sent to quarantine?



What can be considered an insured event:

	Emergency hospitalization due to sudden illness, including COVID-19, of the insured person or their close relatives;
	</li>

	Outpatient treatment for infectious diseases in children and COVID-19 for the insured person or their close relatives;
	</li>
	<li data-end="434" data-start="308">
	Mandatory quarantine after outpatient or inpatient treatment due to COVID-19 of the insured person or their close relatives.
	</li>
</ul>

This is based on clause 32.2 “a” of the General Insurance Rules and the Russian Government Resolution No. 66 dated January 31, 2020.

I have a “Trip Cancellation Insurance” policy. How will it apply if I contract COVID-19 before the start of the trip?



The inability to travel due to the insured person being in quarantine without a diagnosed illness will not be considered an insured event. However, if COVID-19 is diagnosed during quarantine but before the start of the trip, this may be considered an insured event.

If the trip is canceled because the insured person is placed under quarantine due to contact with a COVID-19 positive individual, will this be considered an insured event?



An insured event may occur during the policy period, even on the day before or the day of the trip’s start. Please note that a positive COVID-19 test result, without a documented illness confirmed by medical institution records, is not sufficient to recognize the case as an insured event.

What if I am not allowed to board the plane due to a high temperature?

No. Border closures and suspension of air traffic between countries/regions are not considered insured events (clause 34.1.4 of the General Insurance Rules).

Will it be considered an insured event if my trip is canceled due to border closures?

What documents should the manager provide for the trip?

You can purchase a tour at one of the ANEX Tour agencies or online at <a data-end="130" data-start="96" href="https://anextour.in" rel="noopener" target="_new">anextour.in</a>. 
The list of agencies can be found in the "Where to Buy" section.

Regardless of how the tour is purchased, the traveler can access their personal account on the ANEX Tour website. 
If the booking is made online, the account is created automatically.

Where can I book a tour?

Charter flights are booked by the tour operator from the airline. Tickets for such flights are significantly cheaper than regular flights and are sold only by the tour operator as part of a tour package.

In tour packages where transportation is provided by a charter flight (flight number contains 4 digits), the departure date and airport indicated at the time of booking are not final and may be changed.

In tour packages where transportation is provided by a regular flight (flight number contains 3 digits), the departure date and airport indicated at the time of booking are final. They can only be changed in the event of significant force majeure (e.g., natural disasters).

 What is a charter flight? How does it differ from a regular flight?

A fuel surcharge is an additional fee imposed by the airline on top of the base ticket price. It is intended to cover the costs associated with increased aviation fuel prices.

When booking a tour through an agency, the manager will inform you about the amount of the fuel surcharge. When booking a tour online, the fuel surcharge is automatically included in the final tour price calculation.
