Surcharge in Tunisia
To help Indian travelers avoid unexpected expenses during their trip to Tunisia, we have compiled all key information regarding mandatory surcharges and tourist fees.
One adult passenger may travel with one infant (under the age of 2) without booking a separate seat. However, in this case, an additional boarding pass must be purchased for the infant. Without it, boarding may be denied at the airport.
This fee is automatically included in your tour package and reflected in the final invoice at the time of booking.
Alternatively, it is possible to book a separate seat for an infant under 2 years of age upon request. In such cases, a full-priced ticket will apply.
All travelers — including Indian citizens — are required to pay a mandatory tourist tax upon arrival at their hotel in Tunisia. The payment must be made directly at the hotel reception in Tunisian dinars (TND), and a receipt will be issued.
The tax applies to adults and children over the age of 12:
- 12 TND per person per night for stays in 4-star and 5-star hotels
- 8 TND per person per night for stays in 3-star hotels
Important Notes:
- For stays longer than 10 nights, the tourist tax is only charged for the first 10 nights.
- If you switch hotels during your stay, the tax paid to the previous hotel is non-refundable. You must pay the tourist tax again at the new hotel.
