Guests under the age of 21 are not allowed to stay in a hotel room without being accompanied by someone 21 years or older.
According to UAE law, tourists whose gender does not match the gender listed in their passport are not permitted to enter the country.
If the passport contains incorrect data (such as gender mismatch or missing information in key fields), entry into the UAE may be denied, and the tourist may be deported.
Importing prescription medication into the UAE is restricted and must be registered in advance. The official list includes medications that require mandatory registration. If a drug is not listed, this does not necessarily mean it’s exempt from regulation or allowed for import.
Medication quantities should be limited based on the duration of stay and must not exceed a 3-month supply. Registration is done via the government website. Passport details and travel dates must be provided during registration.
The following documents must be uploaded:
- Doctor’s prescription (in English);
- Medication description (in English).

Verification usually takes one business day. A certificate for carrying medication will be issued upon approval.
