Visas to Maldives

For tourism purposes, Indian citizens do not require a visa to enter the Maldives, provided the stay does not exceed 90 days.

Required documents for Indian tourists entering the Maldives:

  1. Valid international passport:
    • The passport must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of arrival in the Maldives;
    • Entry is not permitted on extended or damaged passports;
    • Each traveler must have their own individual passport.
  2. Confirmed return flight ticket indicating departure within 90 days.
  3. Hotel booking confirmation (tourist voucher or proof of accommodation).
  4. Proof of sufficient funds: minimum of 50–100 USD per person per day (cash or bank card statement may be required upon request).

Important: While no visa is required, travelers must comply with all Maldivian immigration rules. Entry can be denied if documents are incomplete, passport validity is insufficient, or if there are outstanding travel bans or legal issues.
