Visas in Russia

Indian citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter the Russian Federation. Visa-free entry is not available.

Available Visa Types:

• Unified e-Visa – Valid for up to 16 days, single entry. Can be applied online. Processing time: up to 4 calendar days.
• Tourist Visa – For travel with accommodation and itinerary confirmation from a registered Russian tour operator.
• Business, Student, or Private Visas – Require official invitations from Russian institutions or individuals.

Required Documents:

• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity, at least 2 blank pages).
• Completed and signed visa application form.
• Recent passport-size photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm, light background).
• Tourist voucher or invitation letter (depending on visa type).
• Round-trip air tickets and hotel confirmation.
• Medical insurance covering the entire stay.
• Proof of sufficient financial means (if requested).
• Payment receipt for the visa fee.

Fees & Processing Time:

• Tourist visa fee: approx. 4,500 INR (subject to change).
• Processing time: 4–10 business days, depending on visa type.

Important Notes:

• Visa on arrival is not available for Indian passport holders.
• The e-visa is valid for travel through designated ports of entry only.
• Travelers must register with local authorities if staying longer than 7 days.
• Children must have individual visas; group or family visas are not issued.
